Do you have questions about your teeth, gums or oral care that you would like to talk to a professional about?

The oral care academy offers:
The Oral Care Academy offers flexible online consultations with oral health educators. At the first consultation, an oral health educator (OHE) helps to put together a free, digital personalised oral care information package geared to your concerns.
In just one session, your OHE also helps to develop a summary of the oral care issues that you feel affect you most.
A note issued by one of OCA's Oral Health Educators can help lay out your concerns at your routine dental visit.
Please note: This service is not a replacement for your routine dental appointments with your dentist - but rather an opportunity to explore your oral care and dental questions further.
If, at this consultation, we identify that you may benefit from trying a different commercially-available toothpaste or dental device, we also offer the opportunity to select a physical personalised package of oral care resources (toothpaste tubes, manual toothbrush and interdental brushes).
We'd rather support you to purchase these items yourself rather than purchasing through us as this saves cost and supports you to explore products. However, if you would like the option to have the items delivered in an OCA package, see more information here.

Virtual Video or Phone Call
Flexible online consultations. We pair you with your very own personal oral health educator - a registered dentist or a registered dental care professional.
Summary letter
Following your first personalised oral care consultation, you receive a summary letter that can be shared with your routine dentist so that your oral care routine and concerns can be further documented and attended to.
Personalizable Oral Care Package
Your initial consultation comes with a personalized digital handbook which contains various tools to assist you with the oral care information discussed in the consultation. You may opt to receive additional three-monthly personalised oral care packages. See here to find out more about physical packages.

Who is an Oral Health Educator?
'OCA's Oral Health Educators are registered dentists experienced in oral health education and oral care consultation.
What will my Oral Health Educator do?
Your oral health educator listens to your oral care concern. Depending on what it is, your OHE can directly assist you or signpost you to access available services. Your OHE can support you to compile a digital OCA package which helps to document your dental concerns with your routine dentist. If you do not currently have a dentist, your OHE can assist you to find one.
What can I discuss with my OHE?
You can discuss most oral care issues with your oral health educator. Our dentists also give dental recommendations. However, OCA always advise you to have a full clinical consultation, in line with your current routine dental care. Explore below for just a few of the common topics we discuss with OCA attendees.
